CyberSource has recently announced the deployment of its Decision Manager anti-fraud solution by FutureBazaar India the online shopping portal of Pantaloon Retail, one of India’s largest retailers.
With this solution, FutureBazaar will now have access to over 150 global validation tests to screen for fraud and determine in real time if a particular online transaction should be accepted, rejected, or marked for further review.
“Fraud patterns vary from region to region and even country to country. Online merchants need to alter their rules to accommodate these variances or they are likely to allow unacceptable levels of fraud and deny too many good orders.
We believe our experience working in India allows us to more effectively recommend screening practices to optimize online performance in that region. We are building on our work with companies such as FutureBazaar to deliver the highest standards of payment and risk management throughout Asia,” said Akif Khan, head of U.K. client and technical services at CyberSource.
The solution determines frauds based on evaluations drawn from over 150 order validation tests designed according to the business rules determined by the customer. The rules can be updated at any time through an easy-to-use online interface. This flexibility will enable FutureBazaar to continually adapt its fraud screening strategies to changing marketplace realities.
The solution also includes sophisticated case management systems and process analytics to help further address the accuracy and efficiency of the fraud management process.

I ordered 6 sarees and 1 pants suit for my wedding, little did i know there are crooks in the world who give you something that is said to be bollywood pieces and they show up as $20 material that you paid $300 a piece for. Please Please do not buy from them, you will be unhappy. Not only that it takes 2 months, and when it comes it is delivered by someone who picked it up from the airport package with only a plastic bag…so much for their courier….so unprofessional…no wonder there are no hidden costs. Please don’t make the same mistake I did.
