CHENNAI: With the booming retail sector expected to generate around 2.2 million employment jobs in the next three years, the Retailers Association of India would be offering a Post Graduate Programme in Retail Management (PGPRM).

Retailers Association of India CEO Gibson G Vedamani told reporters here today that the PGPRM would be offered through 15 chosen B-schools all over the country.

RAI has also introduced CART (Common Admission Retail Test) for selecting students for the course. CART, which would be held on January 27, 2008 across 25 cities, would comprise quantitative ability, data interpretation and logical awareness, verbal skills and business & consumer awareness, he said.

“The objective of PGPRM is to provide students with a high skill level and knowledge, understanding the concepts and processes involved in retailing and equipping them with operational and analytical skills required for a professional career in the retail sector,” he said. var RN = new String (Math.random()); var RNS = RN.substring (2,11); b2 = ‘ ‘; if (doweshowbellyad==1) bellyad.innerHTML = b2;
