Women-only hotel opens in Saudi Arabia

DUBAI: Saudi Arabia’s first women-only hotel formally opened in Riyadh with the aim of providing suitable and comfortable place for Saudi businesswomen to work and stay.

“The hotel would provide a suitable and comfortable place for Saudi businesswomen to work and stay,” Prince Sultan bin Salman, secretary-general of the Supreme Commission for Tourism, said during the inauguration of the Luthan Hotel & Spa on Tuesday.

“I came to the function with the intent of encouraging Saudi businesswomen to invest in the tourism sector,” Prince Sultan was quoted as saying by the media.

He also expressed hope that similar hotels would come up in other parts of the country.

The hotel with 25 rooms offers 24-hour services to women guests.

It also includes a spa club that offers nearly 150 fitness and wellness services to clients.
